Asian Games 2026: India Thrash Indonesia 17-1 in Women's Hockey

Nagoya: India secured a dominant victory in their second Pool B match in women's hockey at the Asian Games, thrashing Indonesia 17-1. India had entered the second match after defeating Uzbekistan 19-0 in their opening game. Deepika opened India's scoring in the eighth minute. She had scored eight goals against Uzbekistan in the opening match and added two more against Indonesia. Navneet scored a hat-trick for India, while Lalremsiami, Rituja, Suneelita and Sakshi Rana scored two goals each. Salima Tete and Ishika were also on the scoresheet for India. India led 4-0 at the end of the first quarter and went into half-time with a 9-0 lead. Indonesia pulled one back early in the third quarter, but India continued to dominate. India then added several more goals to complete a resounding 17-1 victory.
