Asian Games 2026: India Starts Day Six With Two Medals

Nagoya: India starts day six of Asian Games with two medals. India's Roshibina devi won a silver medal in Women's 60 kg in Wushu after losing the finals to China's Zhang Xiaoyu. This is Roshibina’s third Asian Games medal, she had a bronze in 2018 and a silver in 2023.

Earlier, rowers Satnam Singh and Salman Khan started off Day 6 for India at the Asian Games with a bronze medal in the men’s double sculls event. They finished with in finish time of 6:13.25s. The Chinese duo of Xudi Yi and Yide Nie won the gold in 6:09.77s, while Uzbekistan’s Pavel Sorin and Mekhrojbek Mamatkulov clinched the silver in 6:10.49s.

Balraj Panwar, competing in the men’s singles sculls final, ended 4th after being in silver medal position till the final 500metres.

The Indian men’s 10m air pistol shooters Akash Bharadwaj, Kamaljeet, Kedarling Balakrishna Uchaganve will be in action later today while Parinaaz Dhaliwal and Anant Jeet Singh will feature mixed team skeet shooting. India’s track and field stars begin their campaign towards the end of the day. Asha Ilango and Niharika Vashisht are in the women’s triple jump final and Seema in the women’s 10,000m final. India’s star men’s sprinters Animesh Kujur and Gurindervir Singh will be seen in their respective 100m heats.
