New Delhi: India has firmly denied allegations made by Pakistan linking it to an attack on a military camp in Karachi, in which four paramilitary personnel were killed. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a post on X that any suggestion of Indian involvement in the incident is baseless.
Jaiswal said that instead of pointing fingers at others, Pakistan should look inward at its own country. He added that Pakistan's priority should be to take credible action against terror networks operating from its soil and to end the practice of using terrorism as an instrument of state policy.
The attack, carried out by the banned terrorist outfit Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, targeted a Sindh Rangers camp in Karachi, killing three terrorists and three paramilitary personnel. Following the attack, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who visited Karachi, alleged that India was using certain groups as proxies to undermine peace and stability. It is this controversial claim that the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has now responded to.
