Protests at India Gate Over Delhi Air Crisis; 'I Miss Breathing' Campaign Gains Traction

New Delhi: Social media has amplified the slogans from the protest held at India Gate demanding urgent government action and strict policies to curb air pollution. Children, students, parents, and professionals from various sectors participated in the demonstration, holding banners and placards that read “I miss breathing".
Air quality in Delhi continues to remain at dangerously hazardous levels. In many regions, the Air Quality Index (AQI) has crossed 400, with 22 out of 39 monitoring stations recording readings above this mark. Health experts have warned that inhaling such toxic air can lead to severe health complications. Since Diwali, air quality in Delhi has plunged into the “severe” category and has shown little sign of improvement.
Criticism has intensified against the BJP’s “double-engine” government for its dismal failure to implement effective measures to improve air quality.
