Survivor Alleges Rape During Pregnancy, Opposes Bail for Congress MLA Rahul Mamkoottathil

Kochi: A survivor in a sexual assault case has made serious allegations against Congress MLA Rahul Mamkoottathil, urging the Kerala High Court not to consider his anticipatory bail plea. In an affidavit filed before the court, the complainant alleged that Rahul is a “brutal sexual offender” who subjected her to inhuman sexual abuse even while she was pregnant.

The survivor approached the court to oppose Rahul Mamkoottathil’s anticipatory bail application. She is the complainant in the first case registered against him and has now come forward with detailed and grave disclosures.

According to the affidavit, Rahul allegedly threatened the survivor and recorded her nude visuals, which she claims are still stored on his mobile phone. She told the court that if bail is granted, there is a serious risk that these visuals may be leaked.

The survivor further alleged that Rahul Mamkoottathil is a “sadist” with severe psychological issues. She claimed that the investigation team has information about nearly ten sexual assault cases in which he is an accused, including one involving a minor girl.

She also informed the court that she continues to face harassment and threats from people close to the accused. The revelations have emerged on the day the High Court is scheduled to consider Rahul Mamkoottathil’s anticipatory bail plea.

Stating that granting bail to a habitual sexual offender would send a wrong message to society, the survivor urged the court to deny bail. The affidavit added that the investigation team is currently collecting evidence in the sexual assault cases registered against Rahul Mamkoottathil.
