RSS Praise Song Stopped Midway at Kerala Temple Festival After DYFI Protest

Kannur: During a temple festival at Kannadiparambu Sree Muthappan Temple, RSS -affiliated praise song were performed, leading to protests by CPI M and DYFI activists.

A singing troupe from Thrissur rendered the song “Parama Pavithramatha Mee Mannil” as part of the programme last night. DYFI activists immediately took to the stage in objection, followed by CPI M members, prompting the troupe to halt the performance before completing the song.

In a press release, the DYFI stated that the song was an attempt by the RSS to push its ideological agenda and called on the public to remain alert against such communal influences. The DYFI Kannadiparambu East Area Committee led the protest, vowing to intensify action against similar attempts in the future.
