Rahul Easwar Remanded in Case Over Revealing Survivor’s Identity in Rahul Mamkootathil Assault Allegation

Thiruvananthapuram: In the case related to defaming and revealing personal details of the woman who accused Congress MLA Rahul Mamkootathil of sexual assault, activist Rahul Easwar has been placed in police custody. He was remanded to custody until 11 a.m. on Thursday.
The investigation team informed the court that Rahul Easwar was not cooperating with the probe. He was arrested under BNS Sections 72, 75, 79, and 351. According to the police, the survivor was targeted through a planned cyberattack by a Congress cyber team. Rahul Easwar’s laptop has already been seized.
