Kerala Declares Holiday for Educational Institutions on Monday for FIFA World Cup Final

Thiruvananthapuram: The Education Department has declared a holiday on Monday for all educational institutions across the state in view of the FIFA World Cup final.

The department has directed that all educational institutions, including professional colleges, will be given a holiday as the FIFA World Cup final will be played early Monday morning.

However, examinations that have already been scheduled will be held as planned, with no changes to the timetable.

The World Cup final between Argentina and Spain will be played in the early hours of Monday. Since the match will continue into the early morning, demands had been raised from various quarters to grant a holiday for students.
