MDMA Case: Congress Leader Appears for Accused in Court, Exposing Party's Double Standards

Chief Minister V D Satheesan with MDMA case accused Mohammed Hussain
Kasaragod: Congress leadership has directly stepped in to defend the accused in the Kasaragod MDMA smuggling case. Congress mandalam president Adv. Shajid Kammadam appeared in court as the lawyer for the accused, exposing the party's double standards. Mohammed Hussain, a former social media coordinator of Chief Minister V D Satheesan, was found to have played a key role in the case.
From the beginning of the case, Congress leaders have been allegedly attempting to derail the investigation and suppress the facts. The transfer of the investigating officer during the initial stage and the subsequent appearance of Youth Congress workers as witnesses were part of these efforts.
The Congress mandalam president has now appeared before the court as the accused's lawyer. Meanwhile, the Kasaragod District Sessions Court ordered that the accused be placed in police custody for three days.
More evidence has also emerged regarding the alleged close ties between Mohammad Hussain, who was arrested in Kasaragod with MDMA, and V D Satheesan. The accused had visited the Cantonment House, the official residence of Satheesan when he was Leader of the Opposition, as well as his office in the Assembly. As per reports, the intelligence agencies had received information during that period that he was involved in drug trafficking.
