Makeup Artist Jaanmoni Arrested for Alleged Remarks Against Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Kozhikode: Makeup artist Jaanmoni has been arrested by the Kozhikode City Cyber Police in a case related to alleged remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She will be released on station bail after the arrest is formally recorded.

The action was taken on a complaint filed by Mahila Morcha. Jaanmoni and another person who shared the post were summoned by the police by serving them notices. The arrests were subsequently recorded.

The case against Jaanmoni was registered over alleged remarks against the Prime Minister made while speaking about the CJP protest held in Delhi in connection with irregularities in the NEET examination.

Jaanmoni had spoken about the Prime Minister while talking to the media in Kochi after returning from Delhi, where she had participated in the protest. After her remarks sparked controversy, Jaanmoni posted an apology video on Instagram, citing her language limitations.
