Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala election campaign is currently ongoing with great intensity, and there are only 12 more days until the election. Today, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will be visiting Palakkad for an election campaign. He will be participating in election programs in four constituencies: Malampuzha, Ottapalam, Pattambi, and Thrithala. After meeting the press at 10 AM in the morning, the Chief Minister will join the election activities in these constituencies.

Earlier, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that the continuity of governance has been key in making Kerala move forward. He emphasised that Kerala has now become a state where extreme poverty no longer exists. The Chief Minister made these remarks during the inauguration of the LDF election rally in Iringalakuda, Pattikad, Wadakkancherry, and Guruvayoor. He noted that the five years leading up to 2016 were a period of despair in the state. During that time, there was little development, no major projects, and the youth, in particular, were in despair. However, he highlighted that the situation has now changed.

Since the LDF came into power, the "Navakerala" project was approved to ensure all-round progress. The project formed four missions and led the state with active public participation. The government spent Rs 5,000 crore to revive the collapsed public education system. Today, two of India's top six universities are located in Kerala, and 18 of the country's top 100 colleges are in the state.

The health sector, which was in a state of collapse, was revived through the "Ardram" mission. A special master plan was set up for medical colleges. The infant mortality rate in the U.S. is 5.6%, while in Kerala, it stands at just 5%. Kerala also cleaned up the state through the "Haritha Karma Mission." The "Life Mission" provided houses to 5 lakh people, and 4.5 lakh people were given land titles. Additionally, the startup ecosystem in Kerala has boomed.

The Chief Minister stressed that in order to continue these developments, the LDF must be re-elected to power.
