Fresh Nepotism Allegation Against UDF Govt as Minister Bindu Krishna Appoints Relative to Staff

Thiruvananthapuram: The UDF government is facing another allegation of nepotism, this time over an appointment in the office of Minister Bindu Krishna. A close relative of the minister’s husband has been appointed as her Special Private Secretary.

V L Hari, who is the brother-in-law of Bindu Krishna’s husband Krishnakumar’s brother, was initially appointed as Additional Private Secretary and was later appointed as Special Private Secretary. Hari had previously worked as a finance manager at a private engineering college. He has also reportedly been provided with an official vehicle.

There had been a delay in appointing the minister’s Private Secretary. Allegations have now surfaced that the delay was deliberate and was intended to facilitate the appointment of people close to the minister.

Earlier, Electricity Minister and KPCC president Sunny Joseph had also appointed relatives to his office. His brother-in-law was appointed as Additional Private Secretary.
