Washington DC: The United States has confirmed that it carried out the attack on the vessel MT Jalveer. The US Central Command stated that two Hellfire missiles were fired from a fighter aircraft, striking and damaging the ship’s engine room.

The confirmation was made through a post on X. The US Central Command said:

“Action was taken against MT Jalveer, which was attempting to transport oil from Iran through the Gulf of Oman. After the crew failed to comply with instructions issued by US forces, two Hellfire missiles were fired into the vessel’s engine room.”

According to the report, the United States has attacked nine vessels since sanctions enforcement operations began on April 13.

Following the attack, Iran warned the European Union against remaining silent over US military actions. Iran stated that continued silence over American attacks would increase instability and create a broader security crisis in the region.
