Sanju Samson Thanks Fans After Stellar T20 World Cup Win, Says ‘Always Believed in Miracles’

Ahmedabad: Following his outstanding performance in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, Malayali cricket star Sanju Samson expressed heartfelt gratitude to those who supported him throughout his journey.

In a post on Instagram, Sanju wrote, “Always believed in miracles! Thanking each and every one of you for all the prayers and wishes… Let the celebrations begin. Jai Hind.” The message quickly went viral, receiving more than two million likes within a few hours.

After being named the Player of the Tournament, Sanju also thanked several people who guided him during difficult phases in his career, including cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. “This feels like a dream. I don’t have the words to describe it. I was devastated after the New Zealand series,” he said. Sanju revealed that he had frequent and lengthy conversations with Tendulkar in recent months and regularly sought his advice. He added that guidance from several former senior players of the India national cricket team helped him regain confidence.

Reflecting on his journey, Sanju said he had dreamed of such a moment since being included in the 2024 World Cup team but not getting an opportunity to play. “I kept trying and worked extremely hard to achieve something like this. I was completely shattered after the New Zealand series, but God had other plans. I came back for the crucial matches and did whatever I could for the country,” he said.
