Kunal Kamra’s ‘PSS’ T-Shirt Sparks RSS Outrage; Dhruv Rathee Joins Debate

Mumbai: Matters related to art, history, or even the names of film characters often trigger intolerance from the RSS. This time, it was stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra’s T-shirts that angered the Sangh Parivar. The issue turned into a political controversy after BJP and Shiv Sena leaders reacted to two T-shirt posts Kamra shared on social media.
However, popular YouTuber Dhruv Rathee entered the debate in a humorous manner. Sharing Kamra’s photo, he commented, “Why do RSS supporters think the T-shirt says RSS? Look carefully — it actually says PSS.”
Kamra’s first picture showed the letters PSS, with a dog appearing to urinate on them. Immediately after this image went viral, BJP leaders warned of possible police action. In response to the controversy, Kamra shared another photo of himself wearing a T-shirt with the words “Indian Constitution” printed on it, adding the caption: “It is the Constitution, not hateful displays, that guides this country…”
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Minister and BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule reacted strongly to Kamra’s T-shirt, demanding action against such provocative acts. The image of Kunal Kamra standing in a T-shirt featuring a dog urinating on the letters PSS was what angered Sangh Parivar groups.
