Red Fort Blast: Cartridges Recovered as NIA Probes TATP Use and Wider Terror Links

New Delhi: Delhi police on Sunday said that three cartridges, two live and one empty, were found at the scene of the Delhi Red Fort blast. However, the firearm has not been found yet. The NIA is gathering crucial information from the terrorists in custody.
Suspicious phone numbers have been found on the mobile phone of the doctor arrested from Haryana. It is also reported that around 30 kg of explosives had been stored in the car. The investigation team believes that the deadly explosive TATP (Triacetone Triperoxide) was used. Searches related to the case are being carried out in neighbouring states as well.
Information has also emerged that the doctors, including Umar—the one who carried out the explosion—had visited Nuh several times. The NIA is conducting a detailed investigation into all these aspects. The NIA team has thoroughly interrogated the terrorists in custody in connection with the blast.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir government has announced financial assistance for the families of those killed and injured in the Nowgam explosion.
