New Delhi: The Supreme Court has stayed the High Court's verdict that cancelled the Nava Kerala survey. The Court stated that there is nothing wrong with the government conducting the survey. The projects are being implemented at a cost of crores of rupees, and the Court questioned what was wrong with seeking people's opinion on this.

The bench, headed by Chief Justice Suryakant, delivered the verdict in the case. The Court also clarified that there was no merit in the complaint alleging that the CPI(M) state secretary was involved in the survey.
