Senior Citizen Pushed by BJP Workers While Trying to Submit Representation to Union Minister Suresh Gopi

Kottayam: A senior citizen was forcibly pushed aside by BJP workers while attempting to hand over a representation to Union Minister Suresh Gopi on Wednesday in Kottayam. The incident occurred as the minister was returning from a public program at Pallikkathodu Panchayat.
Video footage of the event shows the elderly man stopping the minister’s car by signaling with his hand and approaching it to submit his request. As he reached the front of Gopi’s vehicle, a group of BJP workers intervened aggressively, pushing him off the road. One party worker even attempted to manhandle him.
Some other people also came to the scene and tried to console the man who was in tears. The details about the man and the nature of his plea are yet to be known. Suresh Gopi didn't come out of his car or down the window glass when all these incidents happened.
This was not an isolated incident. Earlier, in Thrissur, Suresh Gopi reportedly insulted another elderly person who approached him to hand over a request. When the citizen extended the request, Gopi refused to accept it and reportedly said, “That’s not the job of an MP, go and tell it at the panchayat.”
