Thiruvananthapuram: The joint convention of bank employees has called for voting to bring the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government into power, as it is moving forward with pro-labor and people’s welfare measures.

This call was made at the district convention of the Bank Employees Federation of India (BEFI), All Kerala Bank Retirees Forum, and Bank Temporary Employees Federation. The convention was inaugurated by M.V. Nikesh Kumar.

He stated that the state government is committed to protecting public sector undertakings and workers' rights. K. Harikumar (BEFI State Vice President), P. Sadasivan Pillai (former All India President, BEFI), C.P. Radhakrishnan (State Vice President, All Kerala Retirees Forum), and P.V. Jose (State General Secretary, State Bank Retirees Forum) extended their greetings.

The BEFI District Secretary delivered the welcome address, and the BTEF District Secretary, Manikandan, proposed the vote of thanks. The convention concluded by emphasizing the importance of strengthening the Left's position to effectively resist the central government's bank privatization agenda and anti-worker policies. The leaders also called for unity to ensure the continued development of Kerala.
