1.5 Crore Beneficiaries; Kerala Government Issues Orders Approving New Welfare Schemes

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Government issued orders approving the new welfare schemes, including women's safety pension schem, announced by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Over 1.5 crore people are expected to receive the benefits of the schemes.
Women's safety pension schemes, which provides a monthly allowance of 1000 rupees to women and trans women between the age of 30 and 60; connect to work scholarship, offering financial support to young educated people; An operational grant granting 1,000 rupees for Kudumbashree Area Development Societies (ADS) are among the approved schemes.
The beneficiaries of women's safety pension scheme will be those who are not currently accepting benefits of any other social welfare programs, and who belong to AAY (Antyodaya Anna Yojana) or Pink Ration Card (PHH) categories. around 31 lakh women, including trans women, are expected to benefit from the scheme.
As part of the connect to work scholarship, nearly five lakh youth, who are trained in vocational and professional skills, are expected to get benefits. Moreover, through the Kudumbasree ADS grant, 19,470 ADS will receive 1000 rupees as monthly grant. 23.4 crore rupees will be allocated each year for the execution of this.
Additionally, social security pension has been increased from 1600 rupees to 2000 rupees. This will be effective from November.
