Keltron Signs Major Export Deal and Invests in Coconics

Kochi: Two new agreements have been signed that will boost Kerala’s industrial sector. The agreements were signed in the presence of Industrial Minister P. Rajeev at a ceremony held at Chakoas Convention Centre. The ceremony also saw the official announcement of an Rs 18 crore sonar export contract with the South Asia-North Africa Navy and the share transfer related to the revival of the Coconics laptop manufacturing unit.
The contract with the South Asia-North Africa countries, facilitated through Mumbai-based Ms Neo Power, was signed based on the timely and high-quality export of Keltron 300 sonar components via Neo Power in 2025, demonstrating technical expertise and punctuality. This marks Keltron’s historic first and largest single-time export.
Coconics is a company formed in 2019 jointly by Keltron, KSIDC, and US T Global. The second agreement involves the acquisition of a 40% stake in Chennai-based KS Smart Coconics, which is collaborating with Keltron on smart classroom projects in states such as Tamil Nadu and Odisha.
The Rs 18 crore contract for the South Asia-North Africa Navy was handed over by Neo Power Managing Director A. S. Vanavelkar and Keltron Managing Director Srikumar Nayar. The share transfer agreement for Coconics laptops was executed by KS Smart Director Rohan Ramaswamy and Keltron Managing Director Srikumar Nayar.
