Thiruvananthapuram: The website and online registration facility of the Fifth International Congress on Kerala Studies, organised under the aegis of the AKG Centre for Research and Studies, were launched by CPI M General Secretary M A Baby. Those interested in participating in the Congress can register through the website [www.akgcentre.in](http://www.akgcentre.in). The Congress will be held on February 21 and 22.

The website features brief introductions to the AKG Centre for Research and Studies and the Congress on Kerala Studies. It provides access to papers presented at the four previous Congresses, along with related seminars. Collections of papers from seminars conducted in the run-up to the Fifth Congress have also been uploaded.

The website also includes the presidential address delivered by EMS Namboodiripad at the first Congress on Kerala Studies, in which he comprehensively outlined its objectives. In addition, it carries an article written by EMS in 1994 that explains the background of the Congress, detailing discussions on Kerala’s development undertaken by Left governments since the first Kerala Ministry and the evolution of the Congress as a forum engaging academic scholars in these deliberations.

An archive section contains photographs and newspaper reports from earlier Congresses on Kerala Studies. Detailed information related to the Fifth International Congress on Kerala Studies will be added soon. Dr. T M Thomas Isaac was also present at the event.
