DYFI Files Complaint Against Fake Facebook Page Running Disinformation Campaign in Its Name

Thiruvananthapuram: The DYFI has filed a complaint with the State Police Chief against the operators of a fake Facebook page functioning under the name 'DYFI Kerala Official', which has been spreading false information and running unauthorised campaigns in the organisation's name.

State Secretary V K Sanoj said the complaint was filed after the fake page launched a campaign calling for a boycott of Reporter channel — a call that was never issued by the DYFI Kerala State Committee through any of its official handles or platforms.

Sanoj said the fake group has been circulating a series of fabricated calls and misinformation, and that the DYFI State Committee had previously filed complaints against the same page for similar disinformation activities.

The complaint demands strong legal action against those running the fake page as well as against anyone actively promoting or amplifying its content.
