"Do Not Insult the Dignity of Women," Youth Congress State General Secretary Warns Rahul Mamkootathil MLA

Thiruvananthapuram: Youth Congress State General Secretary Sajana B. Sajan has called for immediate action against Congress MLA Rahul Mankootathil, who is accused of brutally raping a woman and forcing her into an illegal abortion. Sajana warned that delaying action would have serious consequences for the party and stressed the importance of upholding the dignity of women. She made these remarks in a recent Facebook post.

Sajana also revealed that there have been internal allegations within the Congress party against Rahul. Several women from the Youth Congress had privately expressed their concerns about him. She added that if further revelations come to light, she would file a formal complaint with the KPCC President.

Earlier, Sajana had publicly criticized Rahul Mankootathil on Facebook. In her post, she wrote: “Psychopaths must be confronted decisively. The leadership must recognize the dignity and worth of women. Who would dare to glorify Rahul? If someone refuses to learn, the party cannot continue to educate them.” Following her outspoken remarks, Sajana faced widespread cyber-attacks from Rahul’s supporters.

Congress leader Bindu Krishna has also called for Rahul Mankootathil to resign and vacate his MLA position, stating that he should step away from mainstream politics. Congress leaders Shanimol Usman and Adv. Deepti Mary Varghese have joined the growing demand for Rahul’s expulsion from the party.
