Ronaldinho, Rivaldo to Play in Kochi as Brazil Legends Face India All Stars

Kochi: Kochi is set to host one of the most eagerly anticipated football spectacles in recent memory, as the Brazil Legends — featuring iconic stars of the 2002 FIFA World Cup-winning squad — take on the Indian All Stars in an international friendly at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kaloor, on September 20. The ticket launch for the event was conducted by Minister V E Abdul Ghafoor.

Headlining the Brazil Legends squad are Ronaldinho and Rivaldo, two of the most celebrated names in world football. They will be joined by Edmilson, Paulo Sergio, Giovanni, Junior, Viola, Gomes (goalkeeper), Amaral, Gustavo Nery, Ricardo Oliveira, Ginho, Camanduka, Elivelton, Souza, Para, and Diogo.

The Indian All Stars lineup features legendary domestic footballers including I M Vijayan, C K Vineeth, Jo Paul Ancheri, and K T Chacko, among others.

The match is being jointly organised by Gaman World Sports Entertainment Private Limited, A to Z Logistics India Private Limited, and A Saba Dos Initiative. MP Hibi Eden, MLA T J Vinod, Corporation Public Works Standing Committee Chairman T K Ashraf, and Gaman World Sports CEO A Rajesh were among those present at the ticket launch.
