Rahul Mamkoottathil Files Anticipatory Bail in Sexual Assault Case

Thiruvananthapuram: Rahul Mamkoottathil has submitted an application for anticipatory bail in the sexual assault case, filing the plea before the Thiruvananthapuram District Court. Notably, the petition was filed through advocate Shekhar G Thampi, known to be associated with the RSS.

This development comes after a copy of the FIR containing serious and disturbing details against MLA Rahul Mamkoottathil became public. The FIR documents specific dates and incidents detailing the survivor’s experience of brutal assault. It states that Rahul sexually assaulted the survivor multiple times even during her pregnancy.

According to the Kerala Police, Rahul also recorded nude visuals of the survivor and used them to threaten and intimidate her. The FIR further notes that the assaults took place at three separate locations, including Palakkad.
