CM Pinarayi Vijayan Thanks Expatriates for Standing With Kerala During Crises at Loka Kerala Sabha

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the expatriate community for standing firmly with Kerala during times of crisis, including floods, monsoon-related disasters, and the COVID-19 pandemic. He was speaking at the fifth session of the Loka Kerala Sabha. The Chief Minister said that Kerala would always remember the affection, support, and solidarity shown by expatriates, especially during the disaster at Mundakkai-Chooralmala.

He pointed out that the state government has a strong history of standing alongside the expatriate community at all times. The formation of a dedicated department for expatriates and the institutionalization of the Loka Kerala Sabha are clear examples of this commitment. The government, he said, has always aimed to ensure that expatriate Malayalis receive the recognition they truly deserve. With the goal of modernising Kerala in tune with changing times, the government continues to move forward with a long-term vision.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the government’s objective is inclusive development, ensuring that the benefits and impact of progress reach every section of society. He also noted that the growing acceptance and relevance of the Loka Kerala Sabha clearly reflect its success, adding that the participation of the expatriate community is crucial in building a New Kerala.
