BJP Leader Gets Controversial Appointment at C-MET Nursing College

A BJP local leader has been appointed as Senior Superintendent at the Konni Nursing College under C-MET. Ratheesh R Nair, the convenor of the BJP Thiruvananthapuram district Pensioners Cell, has been appointed to the post on a one-year contract.

Serious allegations have been raised that the appointment was made with the support of the Health Department minister and through direct intervention by the minister's office. The appointment was allegedly made by ignoring eligible candidates and employees and violating the prescribed criteria.

Ratheesh was earlier a state committee member of the NGO Sangh. The appointment has brought to light an alleged unholy nexus between the Congress and BJP. Protests are growing against attempts to introduce RSS agendas into institutions and to accommodate favourites through backdoor appointments.
