Kollam, March 6, 2025 – The 24th Kerala State Conference of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] began today with a vibrant flag-hoisting ceremony.Held at the Kodiyeri Balakrishnan Nagar at C. Keshavan Smaraka Municipal Town Hall, the event marked an important moment in the party’s revolutionary journey, as over 500 delegates gathered to chart a path forward in the struggle against communal-capitalist exploitation and imperialist domination.

The conference commenced with a vibrant cultural program, followed by the collective voices of party cadres resonating with the revolutionary flag song. CPI(M) Central Committee member AK Balan hoisted the red flag. Politburo members, including Prakash Karat, Brinda Karat, Subhashini Ali, B.V. Raghavulu, Ashok Dhawale, M.A. Baby, and A. Vijayaraghavan along with all other state and national leaders were present at the conference.


Over the next three days, delegates will engage in rigorous discussions on key political, social, and economic issues, with a focus on strengthening the party’s grassroots organization and expanding its influence among the masses. The CPI(M) aims to reaffirm its role as the vanguard of the working class movement, ensuring that the demands of the people remain central to the political discourse.

The conference will deliberate on strategies to mobilize the working class, peasants, and other marginalized sections of society, reinforcing the party’s commitment to building a socialist alternative. Discussions will also address the need to combat the growing influence of right-wing forces and corporate-backed policies that perpetuate inequality and exploitation.  


As the CPI(M) gears up for the electoral battles ahead, the emphasis will be on upcoming local body and assembly elections. The conference will conclude on March 9, 2025, with a renewed resolve to advance the revolutionary struggle and uphold the principles of Marxism-Leninism.
