Kerala Pavilion Inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at International Trade Fair

New Delhi: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday inaugurated Kerala’s pavilion at the International Trade Fair in New Delhi. The event opened with a Chendamelam performance, highlighting Kerala’s traditional percussion art.


The fair, being held at Bharat Mandapam (Pragati Maidan) from November 14 to 27, features a 299-square-metre Kerala pavilion in Hall No. 4. The pavilion is coordinated by the State Information and Public Relations Department. Visitors can access the stalls from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.


This year, the Kerala pavilion features stalls set up by a wide range of state departments and agencies, including the Department of Culture, Kerala Bamboo Mission, Coir Development Department, Handloom and Textiles, Cooperative Department, Scheduled Tribes Development Department, Matsyafed, Industries and Commerce Department, Norka, Farm Information Bureau, Kudumbashree, Hantex, Coir Marketing Federation, Fisheries (SAF), Athirappilly Tribal Valley Farmers Producer Company, Agriculture Development and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Kerafed, Plantation Directorate, Handicrafts Development Corporation (Kairali), Hanveev, Local Self-Government Department, Oushadhi, and the Tourism Department. The Chief Minister visited all 27 stalls set up as part of the exhibition.


Kerala’s Special Representative in New Delhi K. V. Thomas, Kerala House Resident Commissioner Puneet Kumar, I&PRD Director T. V. Subhash, Additional Resident Commissioner Dr. Ashwathi Sreenivas, Additional Directors V. P. Pramod Kumar and K. P. Saritha, Deputy Directors A. Arun Kumar and Anil Bhaskar, Information Officer Pratheesh D. Mani, along with several socio-cultural leaders and officials from various departments, attended the inaugural function.
