YouTuber 'Helen of Sparta' Arrested for Allegedly Defaming Transgender Person on Social Media

Kasaragod: A YouTuber has been arrested in connection with a case involving the alleged defamation of a transgender person through social media. Dhanya Harshith (28), a native of Bandiyad in Kasaragod and known as 'Helen of Sparta', was arrested by the Thrissur City Police. She allegedly harassed and abused a transgender person from Thrissur through social media, using obscene language, slurs and issuing threats. A case was registered following a complaint filed at the Thrissur Cyber Police Station, and an investigation was launched. A police team led by P Shibu, Assistant Commissioner of the Narcotic Cell and Gender Justice, reached Kasaragod and arrested the accused. The investigation team also seized her mobile phone. She was later released on bail.
