UDF Candidate Booked for Defamatory WhatsApp Status Against Kerala Chief Minister

Mala: A case has been registered against a UDF candidate for allegedly posting messages on social media that insulted the Chief Minister. The case has been filed against Vasanthi Subrahmanyan of Puthenchira. She is a candidate in the 11th ward of Puthenchira panchayat and is also currently a panchayat member.

The defamatory content was reportedly posted as a WhatsApp status. The Mala Police registered the case based on a complaint filed by social worker M.M. Noushad.
