Schoolgirl Dies as Auto Rickshaw Overturns in Pathanamthitta

Pathanamthitta: A schoolgirl died after an auto rickshaw carrying school children overturned in Pathanamthitta. The second -grade student, Adilakshmi, lost her life. The incident occurred today around 4 pm, reportedly after the driver swerved upon seeing a snake on the road.

The auto overturned into a plantation in the forested Karimantodu Thoombakkulam area. It was carrying seven children from school when it toppled down a slope. The children were rushed to a hospital, and Adilakshmi succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
