Satheeshan Says No Complaint Received, Denies Shielding Rahul Mamkoottathil

Thiruvananthapuram: V D Satheeshan, Opposition Leader in Kerala, finally responded to the allegations against Rahul Mamkoottathil. He said that anyone facing such allegations would face stringent punishment. "There will be no delay in taking action, as the allegations only came out yesterday," he stated.

However, Rini Ann George, the actress who first came forward against Rahul, had earlier told the media that she submitted complaints to higher authorities three years ago and no action was taken.

Satheeshan kept stressing that no official complaints had been received previously that required action against Rahul. He confirmed that Rini had indeed approached him with a complaint and claimed that he did what was necessary in his capacity as her guardian.

Earlier, there were allegations that Rahul was being protected by Satheeshan. Despite multiple complaints, Rahul continued to receive posts and responsibilities within the party. When asked about this, Satheeshan replied that he encourages all young activists in Congress, and the same applied to Rahul. He added that several such issues reach his office every day and that it was a very common matter.

Satheeshan now appears caught in the middle, unsure whether to continue protecting Rahul or to completely distance himself. During his media interaction, he appeared visibly distressed and even lashed out at journalists from Kairali TV and Reporter Channel, reflecting the pressure he faces as allegations against Rahul grow stronger.
