Sabarimala Pilgrims’ Bus Overturns; Several Injured

Thodupuzha: A bus carrying Sabarimala pilgrims overturned, injuring several people. The condition of two people are reported to be critical. The accident occurred at 6.10 a.m. near Valanjanganam, close to Kuttikkanam on the national highway. The bus, carrying 44 passengers including seven children, was travelling from Tamil Nadu to Sabarimala when it met with the accident.

Passing motorists and the police jointly rushed the injured to the Mundakayam hospital. Two people with serious injuries were shifted to Kottayam Medical College. According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened when the speeding bus lost control at a curve.
