Kerala Tourism Hosts ‘Vision 2031’ Workshop to Shape Future as Global Destination

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Tourism is set to host a one-day workshop titled ‘Vision 2031 –Lokam Kothikkum Keralam’ on October 25 at Marian College, Kuttikkanam, Idukki. This initiative aims to strategically position Kerala as a premier global tourist destination by 2031.
The workshop will bring together academic experts, tourism industry professionals, and students to deliberate on the future of Kerala's tourism sector. Discussions will focus on strategic objectives, emerging opportunities, and innovative approaches to enhance the state's tourism landscape. Key themes include the preservation of Kerala's rich cultural and natural heritage, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the tourism sector, and leveraging technology to improve visitor experiences.
Special sessions will address eight critical areas, aiming to transform Kerala into a vibrant global tourism destination and a significant contributor to the state's economy. The seminar is expected to generate proposals that will guide the development of Kerala's tourism sector in the coming years.
