Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister is scheduled to start on a multi-nation tour of the Gulf region beginning October 16, with stops planned in Bahrain (October 16), Oman (October 24), Qatar (October 30), Kuwait (November 7), and the United Arab Emirates (November 8). He will be accompanied by Minister for Culture, Fisheries and Youth Affairs, Saji Cherian.
The visit is aimed at strengthening ties with Kerala’s expatriate community and highlighting the State’s achievements in social welfare, infrastructure, and development. Organised in collaboration with the Non-Resident Keralites Affairs (Norka) department and various Malayalee associations, the tour will include public events, cultural programmes, and investment meets across major Gulf cities.
The initiative is part of the State government's continued efforts to build long-term linkages with global Malayali networks. The programmes are expected to serve as platforms for promoting Kerala’s investment potential, particularly in sectors such as tourism, education, and healthcare.
Malayali associations in the region have made extensive preparations for the visit, including cultural forums and interactive sessions with business leaders and community representatives.
