Police using force against protesters during CJP's march on Monday
New Delhi: Protesters who are part of Cockroach Janta Party's protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar have announced that they will once again march to Parliament today while continuing their agitation demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. They said a final decision regarding the march would be taken shortly.
The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has also laid down conditions for holding talks with the Central government, demanding that government representatives come to Jantar Mantar for discussions.
The party said Union ministers, representatives of the Central government or the police may participate in the talks, provided they are held at the protest site.
CJP leaders had earlier held discussions with Union Minister J P Nadda. However, the party alleged that the meeting was a waste of time, claiming that Nadda misled them by saying the government would hold consultations and respond later without taking any concrete decision.
The discussions with the Union minister were attended by CJP leaders Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka. During the meeting, the minister urged the protesters to call off their agitation.
The CJP leaders, however, reiterated that they would not withdraw the protest until their demands are accepted.
Young Woman Injured in Police Action During CJP Protest on Ventilator
A young woman critically injured during the police action against the CJP march to Parliament is on ventilator support at Delhi's Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital, PTI reported on Tuesday.
The woman sustained injuries during Monday's protest. "A young woman injured in police action during CJP protest is on ventilator in RML," the sources told PTI without providing further details.
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday proposed shifting activist Sonam Wangchuk from Safdarjung Hospital to Medanta Hospital while ensuring continuity of his medical treatment.

CJP convenor Abhijeet Dipke on Tuesday accused the Union government of using an invitation for talks with Union Minister J P Nadda to "trap" protest leaders while police carried out a crackdown on demonstrators in Delhi.
Speaking to ANI, Dipke claimed that the government's offer for dialogue coincided with police action against protesters.
"JP Nadda invited our panel to have a discussion, and they offered that they would find a solution and have a dialogue. After calling us for talks, they were conducting a lathi charge here. So, they were trapping us," Dipke alleged.
He further claimed that two members of the delegation, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, were prevented from communicating after reaching Nadda's residence.
"They even house-arrested Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka at JP Nadda's house. They took away their phones," Dipke told ANI.
According to Dipke, the two leaders remained unreachable for nearly three hours after arriving for the meeting.
The Delhi High Court will hear a PIL against Delhi Police alleging excessive force against protesters during CJP's Parliament march. The court will hear the plea on Wednesday.
According to a health bulletin issued by VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital, Wangchuk remains under the close supervision of a multidisciplinary team of experts from Safdarjung Hospital and AIIMS, New Delhi. Doctors said he continues to refuse IV and glucose despite repeated medical advice.
The bulletin noted that his blood sugar remains low, his serum potassium level stands at 3.2 mEq/L, and he continues to suffer from persistent pancytopenia, including anaemia and low white blood cell counts. Doctors said these conditions require continuous monitoring through serial investigations.
Security has been tightened across the national capital following the protest, PTI reported.
Police have deployed additional personnel in New Delhi, Central, North, South, South West and South East districts, with multi-layered barricades, intensified vehicle checks and increased patrolling around government buildings, major intersections and other sensitive locations, according to reports.
CJP convenor Abhijeet Dipke apologised to supporters who participated in the march, particularly those injured during police action.
"I could have done better to protect you from the inhumane actions of the Delhi Police," Dipke said in a post on X. He also criticised the Union government and urged injured protesters to contact him directly, saying the movement would continue its campaign despite the crackdown.
As the agitation enters 24th day, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke continues his sit-in protest. The protest is on full swing even a day after the party’s 'Sansad Chalo' march was disrupted by violent attacks by Police personnel.
