Southall (UK): In a spirited beginning to its new chapter, the UK unit of the Students' Federation of India (SFI) is set to open its office at Southall, London on Sunday. To mark the occasion, an event blending solidarity and creativity has been planned.
The group will host a Legislative Theatre workshop from 11 am at UB13DN, Southall Park. The session, titled 'Navigating House Hunting as Indian International Students', addresses a pressing concern amid rising living costs and a tightening rental market in the UK.

Organisers describe the event as a space for radical imagination and collective dreaming. “We’ll explore what better living conditions could look like for Indian students abroad, culturally, financially, and politically,” they said.
Legislative theatre, a participatory form of performance, allows attendees to reimagine policies and propose grassroots alternatives through dialogue and dramatisation. The format reflects SFI’s commitment to political education and fostering community among international students.
