CPI M Condemns Israeli Air Strikes on Gaza, Calls for Immediate Ceasefire

New Delhi: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI M) has strongly condemned the Israeli air strikes on Gaza, which have resulted in the deaths of over 400 people, mostly women and children, in a single day.

In a statement, the CPI M Polit Bureau expressed deep concern over this act of aggression, warning that Israel appears to be backing out of the second phase of the ceasefire—an agreement that could have brought peace and ended hostilities.

This latest massacre follows Israel’s total blockade of Gaza, cutting off essential supplies such as food, fuel, water, and medicines since March 2. The Trump administration’s complicity in this aggression further highlights its support for Israel’s efforts to devastate Gaza and force its people out of their homeland.

The CPI M demands an immediate halt to Israel’s military actions and calls for the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire. This is the demand of peace-loving people across the world.

Furthermore, the Modi government must take a firm stance against Israel’s aggression. Remaining silent while an entire population faces starvation and mass deaths is unacceptable.

The Polit Bureau urges its units to organise protests against the ongoing Israeli genocide and advocate for an immediate ceasefire and a peaceful resolution to the crisis.
