Mumbai: Rajasthan Police have identified Anil Pandit as the alleged mastermind behind the firing at Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff's car in Mumbai. According to the police, he paid the accused an advance of Rs 2.5 lakh and offered Rehan Rs 34,000 to carry out the attack.

The accused were tracked through their travel details and arrested from the general compartment of the Pune–Jaipur Superfast Express at Rajasthan's Kota railway station on Monday morning. They were subsequently handed over to Mumbai Police.

Rajasthan Police said Anil Pandit had also assured the accused that they would be helped to flee abroad after the murder. He allegedly issued instructions for the attack while communicating with them in real time through an app from California.

Before the attack, the accused had stayed at a hotel in Mumbai for nearly a month. During this period, they allegedly transferred money online to shopkeepers and collected cash in return, police said. Rajasthan Police also said another accused, Hrithik, had monitored and gathered information about Tiger Shroff's movements.

Investigators are examining whether the accused had been monitoring the actor's daily routine and how they tracked his movements at the targeted location. After the attack, the accused allegedly changed their appearance and clothing to escape from Mumbai.

During the train journey, the two accused cut their hair and changed their clothes. All three travelled in different parts of the train to avoid suspicion. According to the report, Anil Pandit had instructed them to reach Delhi and then escape to Nepal.

The firing took place on October 18 in Mumbai's Juhu area, when attackers arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire at Tiger Shroff's car. The actor escaped unhurt, but his driver and a passerby sustained injuries. Of the seven rounds fired, five hit the car while two missed the target.
