Kozhikode: SFI’s 18th All India Conference Delegate Session Begins

Kozhikode: The delegate session of the 18th All India Conference of the SFI began on Friday at the Palestine Solidarity Nagar (Aspin Courtyard), near the Kozhikode beach. All India President V P Sanu hoisted the flag at 10 am The session is being presided over by Sitaram Yechury and Nepaldev Bhattacharya.
On the 11th, journalist Sasikumar and theatre director-actor M K Raina jointly inaugurated the conference.
A reunion of former leaders will take place on Saturday at 4 pm. Former SFI national leaders including M A Baby, Prakash Karat, Biman Basu, and E Vijayaraghavan are expected to participate. New office bearers will be elected on the evening of the 29th.

On Monday at 10 am, a student rally will start from the vicinity of Malabar Christian College. At 11 am, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the public meeting at K V Sudheesh Nagar near the beach.

On Thursday evening at 6 pm, the flag mast, flag, and flame processions, symbolic of the memories of martyrs, converged at the beach. The flag mast, brought from the K V Sudheesh Memorial in Koothuparamba, was received by Reception Committee Treasurer M Mehaboob. The flag, brought from the memorial hut of Dheeraj Rajendran in Painavu, was received by All India President V P Sanu. The flame, lit at the Somu-Sembu Memorial in Madurai, was handed over to Secretary Mayukh Biswas. Reception Committee Chairman and Minister P A Mohammed Riyas hoisted the flag.
