Russian President Putin to Visit India on December 4

New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive in India on December 4 to participate in the India–Russia annual summit. Putin’s visit will be for two days. He is expected to hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu, and will also attend a dinner at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Ministry of External Affairs confirmed.
Through this official visit, the progress in bilateral relations between the two countries will be reviewed. The ministry said it will also advance the perspective of strengthening a special and unique strategic partnership. Global issues will be discussed by both leaders.
With all circumstances showing the possibility of a peace agreement in the Ukraine conflict, Putin’s visit to India carries significant importance. The last time Putin visited India for the annual summit was in December 2021. This time, Delhi will host the 23rd annual summit.
