No Government Jobs Through Employment Exchanges in 5 Years in Rajasthan, RTI Reveals

Jaipur: Government systems in Rajasthan have come under sharp criticism after Right to Information (RTI) data revealed that not a single person has been given a government job through employment exchanges in the past five years.

The revelation comes at a time when over 2.2 million job seekers are registered and waiting for employment, highlighting what is being seen as serious neglect by the BJP-led state government. The number of registered candidates in employment offices has seen a significant rise during this period.

Currently, around 2.2 million people remain unemployed and awaiting opportunities. However, RTI data confirms that authorities have failed to report vacancies in government services or carry out recruitments through employment exchanges.

The findings raise concerns over unfulfilled promises made by the government, which had come to power pledging to create jobs for the youth. While some placements have taken place in the private sector through employment exchanges, recruitment in the government sector remains nonexistent.

Even highly educated youth continue to visit employment offices with their registration cards in search of opportunities. With hopes of securing government jobs fading, unemployment in the state has reportedly reached record levels.

There is growing discontent among job seekers, with many protesting against what they describe as the inefficiency of the system. The crisis is being attributed to departments failing to properly report vacancies. Unemployed youth organizations are now preparing for stronger protests against the government’s employment policies in the coming days.
