New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday arrested the eighth individual linked to the Delhi Red Fort blast case.
The explosion on 10 November 2025 claimed the lives of at least 11 people and injured several others in the vicinity of the historic monument. Following the incident, the Central Government had entrusted the NIA with the investigation.
According to an official statement released by the agency on Tuesday evening, Dr Bilal Naseer Malla from Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir has been taken into custody in connection with case RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI. He was apprehended by an NIA team in Delhi.
The agency stated that Malla played a role in the conspiracy behind the attack and had knowingly provided logistical assistance to the deceased accused, Umar Un Nabi. He is also alleged to have attempted to destroy evidence related to the incident.
The NIA confirmed that investigations into the broader conspiracy are ongoing and that it is collaborating closely with multiple central and state agencies to piece together the full scope of the terrorist plot.
