Navjot Kaur Sidhu Resigns from Congress, Criticises Rahul Gandhi Sharply

Chandigarh: Congress suffers another setback in Punjab politics as the party's former state chief, Navjot Singh Sidhu's wife and ex-MLA, Navjot Kaur Sidhu, resigns from the Congress. After resigning, Kaur reacted harshly against the party.
Navjot Kaur accused the party leadership of neglecting sincere leaders like Sidhu. She claimed that the collapse of the party in Punjab was due to wrong decisions made by the central leadership. Kaur stated that Rahul Gandhi has failed to protect those who trust him or give them the attention they deserve. She also accused the party of giving positions only to those who praise it.
The Sidhu family has long been estranged from the Congress leadership. Kaur had previously complained that Sidhu faced severe neglect from the party during and after his imprisonment. Navjot Kaur's resignation is likely to pave the way for a new crisis within Punjab Congress.
