Mumbai: Flight operations at Delhi airport were disrupted on Tuesday due to low visibility, resulting in the cancellation of 126 flights, according to Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL). The cancellations included 49 departures and 77 arrivals, as foggy conditions affected aircraft movements.

IndiGo, which is facing operational disruptions, said it cancelled 110 flights across its network on the same day, citing the impact of adverse weather conditions at the Delhi airport.

A DIAL official said low visibility conditions significantly hampered operations at the airport. IndiGo, in a post on X, said winter fog across northern India often affects early morning flight schedules and that the current weather conditions had led to widespread disruptions.

The airline said its teams were closely monitoring the situation and making operational adjustments wherever possible to minimise inconvenience and ensure passenger comfort during delays.
