Liquor Policy Corruption: Kejriwal and Sisodia Acquitted

Aravind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia
New Delhi: In the excise policy corruption case, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia have been acquitted. The ruling was issued by the Delhi Rouse Avenue Court. The case was filed by the CBI regarding corruption in the excise policy, and both have been removed from the list of accused.
The court criticised the CBI for accusing them without any evidence. Kejriwal stated that the truth has prevailed and described the case as a fabricated one by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
The Delhi liquor policy scandal was the biggest allegation raised by the BJP against the Kejriwal government. Kejriwal was arrested on March 21, 2024, in an Enforcement Directorate case related to the liquor policy scam, but he was granted bail in September.
