New Delhi: Civil service aspirants have only a few hours left to apply for the 2026 Preliminary Exam. The deadline is today, February 24, at 6 PM.

To avoid last-minute rush, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has advised candidates to apply as soon as possible. Applications for the entrance examination for higher posts, including IAS, IPS, and IFS, should be submitted through the official websites upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.

Once the applications are submitted, a correction window will be available from February 25 to March 3, allowing candidates to make corrections. Errors in the photo, signature, and personal information can be rectified during this period. The Preliminary Exam will take place in May.

Only those who have completed the one-time registration can apply. Candidates must also adhere to new requirements: the photo must be taken within 10 days, and both the name and date should be written on the photo when uploading it.

This time, a large participation is expected from Kerala in the Civil Services Exam, one of the country’s most competitive examinations. To avoid any technical issues on the website at the last moment, candidates are advised to complete their application process well in advance.
