Chennai: A survey report conducted by Indian Political Democratic Strategies (IPDS), led by Loyola College alumni, indicates that the DMK will return to power and M K Stalin will become Chief Minister once again. At the same time, the survey suggests that TVK leader and actor Vijay will make a huge impact in the elections. The report also mentions that Vijay is the second most eligible leader for the Chief Minister’s post.

In the first survey by IPDS, Edappadi K Palaniswami, opposition leader and AIADMK General Secretary, held the second position. However, in the new survey, Edappadi has slipped to third place. DMK MP Kanimozhi comes in fourth, and Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin in fifth. The survey points out that the entry of TVK has brought a visible shift in the political landscape in Tamil Nadu.

The survey also shows that the DMK will be the most affected by TVK’s entry, followed by Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) and AIADMK. Among young leaders attracting new voters, Vijay ranks first, BJP’s former state president K. Annamalai is second, Udhayanidhi Stalin third, and NTK leader Seeman fourth.

The survey was conducted based on responses from 81,375 people across 234 assembly constituencies.
